Only Jimi Hendrix

"Only Jimi Hendrix" is a biography book that tells and visualizes his life events, like his iconic performance of ‘Star Spangled Banner’ at Woodstock in 1969 which was not a symbol of national pride, rather an attack on America’s continued occupation of Vietnam. Seconds before going onstage, Jimi debated whether or not to perform the anthem, as his manager Mike Jeffrey feared it could spark a riot. Jimi ignored his concerns, deciding with the world watching that there was no greater stage to display his disgust and contempt about the war and its reverberations, than with a performance that has become an integral part of American history. The book is designed with four different colors, simply color picked from his own eccentric wardrobe. It is printed on extra white smooth paper causing the saturated colors to pop off the pages. The book was showcased at LUCA school of arts, book-exhibition at Ghent Belgium.
